A T T I T U D E

It's been a few more months since my last promise to write on my blog every other week, but yet again I have failed to live up to my promise. Many reason accord to this, but I am not about to make excuses. However I would like to re-alter my promise to state that I would write on this blog as frequently as time allows me.

This ATTITUDE that I possess is what has kept me going. The way I perceive things, the way I perceive the world and how you deal with people's expectations, is what ATTITUDE is all about.

I don't want to over dramatize or over simplify by giving an acronym decipher for what is ATTITUDE. I will take the word for what it is and proceed to further describe in laymen’s terms what it is all about.

Just recently I finished another one of my personal milestones, which was to write and direct a commercial film. It was for TV, still nonetheless it was a milestone achieved. I had tremendous support from various mentors, who's names I shan't mention to respect their privacy. But one enormous experience I gained from this venture was that of how important ATTITUDE is. This single trait alone will determine how far does a person go in life.

I was surrounded by people whose experience in the industry where at times was that of my age. Yet, they were still in the rank of people who took orders an executed them (Efficiently or not, that’s a story for another blog).

Now given their rank and experience they should be on top of the game, in and out. But from a closer inspection and prying on my part, I found out that, their careers are very much in shambles as is their personal lives. and it could be traced back to ATTITUDE.

Most of the people (not all) in this industry have a tendency to live life as shallow as some of the films they work on. Living life for a short burst of pleasure and moments rather then a life long pattern of growth. This ATTITUDE of taking everything for granted and constantly living in the past, has stunted their potential for new growth and as sad as I am to state this, will be the cause of their eventual career demises, and an even sadder thing would be that the moment they are gone, someone else will replace them faster then you can say their names, and these people wont have anything to be remembered by.

I am not aware if they realize this, maybe some do, but have given up on re-newing their life's purpose thus eliminating the need to alter their ATTITUDES.

So I say this to everyone out there, if you want to see an immediate change in your life, don't look for THE SECRET, don't bother reading Tony Robbins, and forget altogether about any other self improvisation courses. Because without the right ATTITUDE, you will no be ready to accept any of the wonderful escalating affects that these books and authors have to offer you.

BE A NEW. BE EXCELLENT. BE WITH ATTITUDE.

My young friend you are confusing yourself between personality and attitude. Attitude is not who you are, attitude is about how you handle life. Its not about your personal needs and wants, but rather other wants and needs and how you address that.
